Joint work with Research Centre 'Athena', Greece and the University of Ioannina, Greece, "Band Joins for Interval Data" and with the University of Alberta, Canada and the University of Konstanz, Germany, "RRAMEN: An Interactive Tool for Evaluating Choices and Changes in Transportation Networks" will appear as short and demo paper, respectively, in the Proceedings of the 23rd International Conference on Extending Database Technology (EDBT).

Our papers will be presented at EDBT 2020 in Copenhagen, Denmark in March.

The 6th ACM SIGMOD International Workshop on Managing and Mining Enriched Geo-Spatial Data (GeoRich) will be held in Portland, OR, USA in conjunction with the ACM SIGMOD International Conference on Management of Data (ACM SIGMOD 2020); Prof. Bouros is the general chair.

Mohamed Masarwa will defend his BSc thesis on October 29, 2019 at 12:30 in Room 04-230.

Joint work with the University of Konstanz, Germany and the University of Alberta, Canada, "Relative Reachability Analysis as a Tool for Urban Mobility Planning" will appear as a position paper in the Proceedings of the 12th International Workshop on Computational Transportation Science (IWCTS).

Our paper will be presented at IWCTS 2019 in Chicago, IL, USA on November 5. The workshop will be held in conjunction with the 27th ACM SIGSPATIAL International Conference on Advances in Geographic Information Systems (ACM SIGSPATIAL 2019).

Joint work with University of Ioannina, Greece titled "Spatial Joins: What's next?" will appear in March 2019 issue of the ACM SIGSPATIAL Newsletter.

The article presents our vision for future work in the context of evaluating spatial join queries.

Matthias Sawatzky will defend his BSc thesis on February 13, 2019 at 14:00 in Room 03-428.

Joint work with Aarhus University, Denmark titled "Processing Satellite Imagery for Decision-Making in Precision Agriculture" will appear as a short paper in the Proceedings of the 2nd International Workshop on Big Data Visual Exploration and Analytics (BigVis).

Our paper will be presented at BigVis 2019 in Lisbon, Portugal on March 26. The workshop will be held in conjunction with the 22nd International Conference on Extending Database Technology (EDBT 2019).
